Boys from the playground, Boys from the Palace

This pedagogical activity explores the theme of everyday life and the education of young people in Turin’s past and present. Children will children discover two social realities on opposite ends of Turin’s social spectrum, the Royal Court of Savoy and Don Bosco’s Oratory in Valdocco. The goal is to stimulate, through storytelling and interactive methodology, a reflection on the changes in the condition of childhood and adolescence over time. This is a collaborative project: the morning session is a visit to the Appartamento di rappresentanza of Palazzo Reale, guided by the Educational Services of the Musei Reali, followed by an afternoon visit to Casa Don Bosco Museum for an interactive workshop.
